Main Pavilion

LIVING ROOM
The living room opens on one side to the views of Diamond Head and the pond while on the other side the views are of the beautiful gardens, pool and downtown Honolulu. At night, lights sparkle in the distance. The living room is 18 ½ by 26 feet and its floor is travertine. Floor to ceiling Fleetwood custom sliding glass doors and screens open to large lanais on the east and west side of room and hide completely in wall pockets designed to accept them. The lines between indoor and outdoor rooms are thus diffused. The space is wonderful for hosting large gatherings. The living room is divided from the dining room by a partial wall/ display case of solid teak

DINING ROOM
The dining room is 18 ½ by 14 feet and is floored in travertine. The south wall is entirely of glass and overlooks a seasonal stream, lawn and mature trees.

KITCHEN
The kitchen has a large center island. The kitchen is equipped with dual Thermador ovens, a Viking six-burner gas stove, a Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator and freezer, a separate wine cooler, a walk-in pantry, granite countertops and custom cabinetry. There is a second prep sink on the center island. A built in leather banquette and teak table provide a place for casual dining. The southeast facing wall of glass slides into a pocket and opens the kitchen to the morning sun and a large trellised lanai with its own outdoor cooking and eating area. The kitchen is floored in travertine and wood.

MASTER BEDROOM SUITE
The master bedroom has a west-facing wall of glass which slides into a pocket, opening the room to an outdoor seating area overlooking fragrant frangipani trees, the pool and garden. From the other side of the room the sound of water tumbling over rocks enters through louvered windows. Custom cabinetry includes a teak wall with flat screen television, a lacquered make-up table with lighted mirrors, lacquered bedside tables and bookcases. There is an interior seating area.

The master bath overlooks its own private walled garden and outdoor showering area. The private garden is filled with tree ferns, orchids, ginger and tiare gardenias. Inside the bathroom there is a hand carved double stone sink from Bali, a walk in shower and a separate large bathing tub. A 19th century Tansu chest from Japan is used for linens and other storage.

The walk-in closet has custom teak cabinets for clothing and accessories. Another large room in this suite is presently used as a laundry and work out room but could be made into another walk in closet.

POWDER ROOM
The powder room is located off the entryway. Its above counter sink is set atop a teak slab that is 6 feet long and five inches thick.

BEDROOM AND BATH
A second bedroom with its own separate entry is located in the main pavilion. The large room overlooks the south-facing garden. An en suite bathroom has custom cabinets, stone floors and a walk-in shower.
